About Me


Born and brought up in Limerick Inner City - FAB city!
Spent my childhood and youth in scouting, camped and hiked all over Ireland
Inspired by Jim Kemmy, Sean Lemass and Charles Stewart Parnell
Benefited from free education and went on to become a Civil Engineer through UCC and did a Postgrad in Strathclyde University, Scotland
First Jobs were making Canvas products on a FÁS Scheme and holding nails for my Dad who was a carpenter.
Emigrated in mid 1980's and  worked in Scotland, Norway, Australia and back to Ireland in 1994
Experience in Offshore Engineering, Heavy Manufacture and Major Public and  Industrial Sectors and have extensive experience in delivering projects.
Very active in Ireland US relations and promotion of Foreign Direct Investment
Over 15 years involved in North/South Trade, Peace  and Reconciliation
Avid Rugby Fan, follow Munster  and Leinster  BUT always Munster when they meet!
Currently Coach and was Chairman of the Minis and Youths in Suttonians RFC
Active in community activities through Howth Sutton Community Council for 10 years
Husband,father,son,brother,friend,citizen and tend to chat on the DART or 31 Bus!
Love a good sing song and have been known to tell the odd joke!
